Role Summary

Love animals and want to make a difference? Join our team as our in-house dog trainer! This is an opportunity for those located in San Diego, CA. This role is to provide a safe, educational environment for adopters and their new dogs that might need some behavioral and/or general training assistance.

Report to the Founder to:

• Learn about specific dogs' training concerns
• Speak with adopters and provide guidance on how you can best support their dog's training needs
• Ensure dogs stay safe and comfortable throughout training
• Be a continual point of contact for the rescue for new and/or ongoing training needs

What We’re Looking For:

• A love for animals and compassion for rescue work
• A background in dog training (examples include but are not limited to: resource aggression, introducing to new people and pets, proper walking, separation anxiety, crate-training, etc.)
• Reliability and a positive attitude
• Ability to handle dogs safely
• Flexibility and availability for training multiple times a month
